  1. Anyone into photography?

I've been taking snaps for over forty years. There are basically no bad current digital cameras. I chose the sony system over my previous nikon, because it felt comfortable in my hand and at the time they had the best lens availability. I believe they still do for my requirements. For...
  2. The stalking show

I'm camping with she who must be obeyed. Is there food available in the evenings or do we need to take something to russle up?

  4. Sold: Teslong Borescope

What calibre is this suitable for?
  5. Air rifles...springers gas ram

Can't really go wrong with an hw99s for youngsters. Lightweight, capable and accurate. If you buy a secondhand one, check the galling issue has been sorted.
  6. Solar powerpack for camping etc

For long term usage I use a 300 watt panel, connected to two 12v 100a leisure batteries, via a controller. In partial shade, these will power a small caravan. I've never tried more than a few days, but for longer, I would imagine you need full light. Mine get several weeks between being used.
  7. Cordless chainsaw

To be honest, if you've already got a rechargeable battery system, you may as well stick with that. Makita, parkside and plenty others do chainsaws that will do the sort of work you're describing. You need a minimum of a 5ah battery if you're going for ego, which isn't cheap and if you aren't...
  8. Cordless chainsaw

I've been using ego since 2021. Started with the 14", now I mostly use the 21" commercial. Fantastic tools. The batteries are expensive, but come with a 3 year warranty. I also use the blower, commercial pole saw and hedge trimmer, brushcutter and strimmer, all brilliant. If you want to know...
  9. Quad bike advice .

I have a 7 year old 700cc. It's had one proper service and I've serviced it myself once. The temp sender packed up which caused the fan to stop running and then it would overheat. I temporarily shorted the switch terminals and ordered a generic replacement. Re fitting took about twenty minutes...
  10. Third vehicle (Jimny) Insurance

A lot of firms will ask you about your current no claims and apply a discount based on that, you will just start the new policy with no no claims bonus. It need not be that expensive. I have a 6ltr W12 610bhp hobby third car and it doesn't cost that much.
  11. Panorama Why are Vets fees so High...

Less than a hundred euros to have two teeth extracted in Spain. No mention of insurance and no mention of root canal. I wouldn't entertain the idea of a root canal with a dog. I've had four, all have failed within a couple of years and all have had to be extracted. Side note, my dentist in...

  13. Panorama Why are Vets fees so High...

Just had my three dogs vaccinated against rabies in Spain, €87. Having the titration test carried out in France €99 each. A European pet passport cost me less than 30 per dog. Health certificate in the UK has cost me between 80 and 150 per trip. Insurance is never mentioned over there. 3...
