Thanks. Not too familiar with CFE but will look into it
Cheers. I was just worried the 21.6 grain N133 might be a bit loupy or anaemic but it sounds like it’s alright?
Completely. At the moment it’s just another £500 that hasn’t been a priority but definitely on the list
Thanks bud. Did...
Thanks Craig. I wasn’t quite sure where the sweet spot for N133 is but certainly this slower load was hole inside hole. Possibly this is better from a bullet frangibility point of view as well if it’s going slower.
Happy to hear any other opinions. A very rough look at sako game head 50g loads...
Thanks folks. Do you think the 23.4 grains is too much? Accuracy wise for either load is fine. I just don’t want to stumble into problems.
Would I be right in thinking the 21.6 would be near a mid range factory level? Roughly 3000 fps?
And the second would be nearer 3200?
This is very...
Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone could shed an opinion on these potential loads in the .222. It’s my first time reloading for this particular caliber.
I’ve got 2 really good groups that are almost one hole. With everything in between being about 0.5” - 1”,(I haven’t measured them)...
Lungs have a massive blood supply. Even down at a capillary level for oxygen transfer. Yes broken ribs, collapsed lung lobes and fluid within the lung will all affect breathing ability but its the loss of blood that kills the deer rather than drowning
Used a .22-250, .223 and .222. All 50-55 grains.
Settled on the .222 in the end and it seems to shoot 50 grain better than 55. Norma did a really nice soft point but discontinued it in the .222. The sako stuff shoots fine but just not quite as well for me.
Anyway, .223 will work fine within...
I would tend to say this:
Say yes, guy A just wants to make a profit on a colour variant of springbok. But that hunting area for the springbok is far better for wildlife than a cattle ranch which would be the alternative. So it’s better for conservation even if it’s not guy A’s primary intent...
No problem. Seems very much like you’re splitting hairs between countries at that point.
Having taken and eaten both, they both have 4 legs, horns/antlers and eat vegetation. There’s not a lot in it.
I believe you can order them directly. I’m not sure why they’re not more popular though. There’s plenty sako 75’s kicking about,(they also do tikka and Remington I believe). And not much competition from other brands for the sako. Possibly the original synthetic stocks are good and folk don’t...
I can’t decide whether you don’t realise that deer are generally classed as big game in a lot of countries? Or that there’s not much difference between a kudu and a red deer.
Anyway, the American side of the industry will keep it going . There’s numerous taxidermy companies now also making...
Hopefully some folk on here will have used them. The mcmillan marble stocks looked great but they stopped in letting for the 75 years ago which is a shame
Has anyone got any opinions on the above stocks? Been around for a little while. There was some early mixed posts on here a while back.
From what I gather, a sister company of hardy rifles. The hardy stocks seem identical and hardy rifles are always well rated. One of the few companies that...
I did look for 120 Noslers but they were like hens teeth. I think they’re messy as well?
The ELDX are seriously accurate but just a bit messy,(at times) and a bit loopy.
I like the cal. I just don’t ‘love’ it
