The shortened story is I hammer the bolt out using a rubber mallet on the bolt handle. The collar fell on the floor intact. I just had to reattach the extractor using the collar and it works perfectly.
I have the extractor claw, it is fine.
Will need to fabricate a collar.
Do i need to worry about the ejector or trigger getting damaged? If I start belting the bolt with a hammer?
Maybe better to hammer the bolt forward? Then I can cut the collar off?
This appears to make sense. I assume you also need to withdraw the ejector and pull the trigger?
Mine simply refuses to come any further. When the extractor collar breaks is springs open slightly jamming the bolt.
I am wary of falling the USA advice and starting to belt with a hammer!
