New .308 help.

Surely shome misshtakes?

You and your rifle can manage 0.0525" @ 100yards groups? 0.05 = 5/100 = 5% of MOA....Wow! Great shooting.

> = 'greater than'....so they are all 100% >0.25 MOA?

Alan

No mistake, obviously these groups are a few groups, but it shows what the rifle is capable of, the weakest link is always me!
My mistake should have been <0.25 MOA.

Pesky arrowheads around the wrong way...my little visual mnemonic for the correct direction is the wide end is the big side, the "greater than".

With the arrow pointing left, the quantity is included within the arrow head and so is "less than"...

My only crime was the light wasn't on when I was typing...
Having recently completed A level maths it might have been a problem if I had not have understood them...

I recently bought a Shultz & Larsen Victory in .308 from Steve Beaty at Ivythorn and I'm besotted with it. As has already been mentioned, he's the man to speak to about these and Sauers (among other brands). I'd get your boss to drop him a line and go and handle a few to see what fits. He'll set you up and you can zero on his range and drive off ready to stalk.

He's some distance from me (though not as far as you!) but it was definitely worth it. A pretty unique experience.
Would second the comment about Steve spot on guy and top service I bought a rifle from him and he sent it no obligation to my rfd without a penny being spent I purchased said rifle with no rfd fees either top bloke and knows his onions of it's in his shop its spot on

One of my bosses is getting a variation for a .308, what would people recomend?
I was thinking of a STEYR MANNLICHER CL II
or a SAKO 85, he'll want a half decent bit of wood and will shoot mostly Roe with the occasional Sika and Red and a trip for Boar now and again. What twist would be beat as an all rounder?
Thanks.
Get a the Sako and relax, that rifle in that caliber is pretty much all the rifles that a sensible person would ever need.
