Hats off to Peterborough A&E and The Royal Papworth in Cambridge
On Thursday morning suspecting that my wife was having a Heart Attack I immediately drove her to Peterborough City Hospital A&E ( Arrived at 12.00) Being a suspected heart attack she was called within minutes of arrival for ECG etc which confirmed a heart attack, She was then blue lighted by ambulance to The Royal Papworth in Cambridge where she had a stent placement by 15.30 , The doctors and nurses at both Peterborough and Cambridge were absolutely brilliant I just can't praise them enough :tiphat:
She is now back home and feeling fine but will need to take things easy for the next few weeks and not allowed to drive for 4 weeks, Again I can't praise them enough there a credit to the NHS

Too many criticize the hospital Paul but I've been well served by both of those places. Hope your lass is ok and continues so, without any more scares.

Great news! 👍

We don't bu66er about when it comes to the ticker and a good job you did to get her to hospital sharpish! Well done for keeping composure and doing what had to be done in getting her there. :thumb:

My hat comes off to you PHS for recognising the symptoms and your quick response !!

Thankfully the NHS saved the day.

Very best regards to your wife.

I can't praise the NHS enough. I had severe chest pains and was suspected heart attack, my wife burst in to tears but the local chippy guys had seen me and my wife crying so one of the Turkish guys came out and called an ambulance.
The ambulance arrived and took me to A&E at Salisbury General Hospital where they said they were going to do an examination and stuck a needle in my arm.
The next thing I knew was waking up in a very cold room and was told it is the recovery room where they can keep an observation in case of any reaction.
When I asked what had happened I was told that I had an heart attack and four arteries were blocked and they had inserted Stents.
I was kept in for a few days and then sent home and told to take it easy, there was no need to be told !!
Yes, our NHS is great in an emergency.
I'm glad to hear your wife was well looked after too.

Glad to hear your wife’s doing well.
Nothing but praise for the nurses and various docs that I encountered during my prolonged stay (2yrs bar a couple of months).
Blue & twos between various hospitals, depending on which specialty was required, which gave the nurses an experience very few get during their normal day🤣

Collapsed with acute pancreatitis 28th June 2017 woke up end of August that year after losing more than half my weight (down from 16st to just under 8st).
Then having liver failure, due to the gall stone which caused the acute pancreatitis, rushed to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to be under the care of the top liver specialist and can’t remember November and December that year😳

So yes without their care and attention I wouldn’t be here.

Good result which could have been different if it weren't for your quick thinking and fast action.
I hope your wife has a speedy and full recovery!
