new blaser professional 2.0

I've had several Blaser rifles of 4 different kinds since 2000, so fully fulfil the fanboy profile. However, even to me this hits a bit lukewarm. So what? New stock. Lovely. Nothing others aren't already doing (perhaps better?). Next....

Think I prefer the stock on my R8 PS. Perfect ergonomics for me.

I'm sure it will be an excellent rifle though

Does the New Blaser R8 Professional 2.0 change only the stock or is all the specification different from the R8 Professional? looking to buy one with Standart Stock

I think it’s all the same bar stock- but at a reduced price to the r8 professional, as far as i can tell. Bargain!
My friend says the specs are different, and the professionals are better, but I haven’t found anything to support this. I’ve emailed Blaser to ask, and I’ll go have a look at the shop because, as you say, it’s a bargain.

I own a Blaser R8 Professional since 2014. I would say some people love it, some don't like it. I don't like it's heavy weight and also think that switching barrels option is a bit of an overengeneering thing. Once I put a new barrel on I almost never bother to swap with the old one. I think it's simpler to just buy another rifle as Blaser barrels cost as much as many quality factory new rifles anyway. It also feels factory made in hand, it's nothing like the custom crafted pieces made of wood and steel of the past. So it's not perfect in some ways but it's so well engeneered and well thought out that once you own one it's impossible to let it go as anything else will most likely not be as good. I would not bother to buy 2.0 Professional as the change is likely more cosmetic than not so as to make it more in line with new fashion. I do love my Professional though and I think it will stay with me for a very long time.

I actually prefer the look of the original R8 Pro. I do like the stock can be shortened or lengthened easily on the V2.
