Hi everyone,

I'm selling my Tikka CTR rifle and setup as I have the fortunate opportunity to hunt in Africa and need a rifle more suited to use over there. I bought it new and It's literally had one box of ammo fired through it, 20 rounds and that's it! Incidentally the ammo in question was Sako Powerhead blade and it put three shots into one ragged hole at 100m. It would make for a cracking stalking rifle.

The package includes:
Tikka T3X CTR Camo in .308 Win
Stalon XS149 moderator (bought new with the rifle)
Element optics 2-16x50 Helix HDLR (MRAD) (bought new as well)
Tier One 30mm rings

I have all the original boxes and paperwork for the bits too.

Price is £1600 and I'm located near Stratford-upon-Avon. I'd be prepared to split the cost of an RFD to do the paperwork.

I'm bumping this to the top with an excellent video review of this rifle, I think it explains better what a good setup this is...

 
hi, what`s the twist rate on this and what`s the weight of the full setup if you don`t mind me asking. also does it have they adjustable cheek piece?

unless you are hunting dangerous game the 308 will deal with 99% of african game .keep your 308 take it to africa shoot and enjoy and if you need a bigger caliber hire one out there . you will have more use any where in the world with the 308, anything bigger can be hired where ever you go . sounds like a sale for a sales sake !

Agreed, although I already have a 7x57 and the next hunt will include eland. There is also the possibility of buffalo down the line. Apart from all that I've used guns in the past that were not my own, and have always felt more confident and capable using my own guns which I'm more familiar with.

is this a 24" barrel 1in 11 twist and semi heavy barrel threaded 18x1 with the adjustable cheek raiser ?

Apologies for the delayed reply, I've had an ill child to deal with.

To answer your questions, it's 1:10 twist, 20" barrel. Weight is 4.5kg with scope and moderator fitted and it does not have an adjustable cheek piece.
