Hampshire grant wait

Anyone know anything about the current grant wait times in Hampshire? FAC & SGC.

Anyone here waiting on a grant if so what date did you apply?
 
I'm waiting on a coterminous grant in Hampshire; I applied in July. I haven't heard anything yet.

I emailed the firearms team recently just to ask if everything was still in order and asked for a rough timeline for grant applications. They said 10-12 months from application to license issuance. I had asked BASC earlier in the year; they indicated more like 12-18 months. So who knows. They are prioritising renewals over grants at the moment.
 
My renewal earlier this year with Hampshire was turned around very quickly (within a fortnight - far quicker then required). I can’t speak for grants but 12 months has surprised me!

They don't even have a renewals backlog at the moment so they must have a certain amount of grants they want to release.
 
I'm not sure how Wiltshire is doing these days but they used to be the best all round for grants and renewals.
My documents fully loaded for a renewal were submitted 3rd November and I have heard nothing from them so contacted them last week and was told there's a good chance I may get it before Christmas .
I have a foreign trip organised for January and my FC was due to expire 2nd January so I asked for, and got, an extension to mid February to cover both my trips.
I know it's nothing to do with Hampshire but it lets you know they are not the only ones taking time.
 
As of 12/25 - I've been advised 4 months grant turnaround time by the GMP Firearms Licencing Manager. if that information is of any benefit to anyone.

Someone told me they’d been told 7 months for grant yesterday.

They had caught right up but losing Craig and Owen retiring hasn’t helped.

Surely a renewal should take less time than a grant ?
Does anybody know if the procedure has changed to cause such a time scale or is it just slow motion, I can't imagine there being that may FC's a SGC's to cause such a long time scale as they are taking now.

I applied just over a year ago. Had an email in Jan saying it was a nine month wait. No news yet. Part of it stated some slots I applied for were for work purposes but that seems to have counted for nothing.

They are currently working on grants received in December so yours should be any day now. I asked them a few months ago and they said December then to so have been very slow the past few months.
