Nocpix thermal scopes

Just a quick one to see if anyone having any bother with Nocpix thermal rifle scopes? Ive had the H50R for about 8 month now not heavy use but on the 2nd return, both scopes got to about the 150 shot mark and lense started having issues, first one when I pulled the trigger, (308 , 150gr) the scope would loose all focus and i had to cycle on a off, it was replaced efficiently enough but Hawke, now that has just gone back as the lense and or sensor has started developing almost like burn marks after every shot, that dont go away, my original information th50 is bullet proof and still going strong after a good few years the nocpix are falling a bit short of the mark

A friend has the 50R. The front focus ring is over tight and not easy to adjust. The unit itself externally is already showing signs of wear and tear but works fine. Doesn't seem as well made as Hik or Pulsar but the tech seems better

I too had one the same issue sent .
I was not impressed with the unit one bit very disappointed with their customer service.
Pulsar or hik by far the quality and customer service.

Recent loss of zero due to rough handling, was corrected quite simply on the following day, at least Nocpix have simplified all the twiddling about when doing it.

Jeff8861 you’re one of the chosen few you that’s not had a problem with them.
Seriously not worth the hassle.

first ive heard of problems with nocpix

brother has acee50h and in a QR mount ... proved itself time again .... swaps and within 1/2 " on refit to rifle ... that green style site picture easy on eye and detail on target is well is just wow!! 2x foxes other night ...scope off and day scope on and deer ... all pap on and zeroed... that with Sportsmatch one piece QR mounts

but then he has HIK Habroks and been few comments abut build quality on these so its not just nocpix.... i heard few folk on about alpex and issues

i guess they all have their weak points.... introducing software .. electronics etc into an item and failure rate will be higher

is nocpix any higher with said failures compare to HIK or Pulsar ?

There has been hundreds upon hundreds of these scopes sold. As with all products, you will get the occasional bad ones. These come with 4 year warranty, so your covered for a long period. I've not had any issues with Ace scopes we have sold upto now, not that I can remember. Also using the Ace S60R model myself.

I’ve saw the faults myself , quite severe but the customer service was there which is what matters.

My hik thermal initially was glitchy but worked itself out via elite optical.

I’m going to try the mate h50r clip on as they seem to hold zero.

I have had 3 hikmicro items decide to just give up , two were thermal scopes , in the end hikmirco offered me a full refund ,
Also a handheld spotter became very glitchy and had to go back for repair .
And even as i speak i have a hikmicro M15 trail cam thats now got to go back As thats not even a year old and thats fck'd

I wont buy any more hikmicro stuff anymore , apart from it forever breaking down you than have the other main problem , they just cant leave things be ..... the amount of so-called updates i have had that have just trashed my units , then have to wait months for a new update.
The last one that made my mind up was the one were they ruined the crosshairs and made them hardly visible in daylight.

Hmmmm no thanks !

Pulsar are great if you want to pay todays prices for 4 yr old sensors . They have fallen so far behind i dont even think there in the race .

Don't get me wrong the replacement ace h50R scope hasn't missed a beat in the 8 months I've had it so I might have just been unlucky with the first one 🤷‍♂️

I wish had tons of hassle with hik had one pulsar scope and that went back after a couple of days

Any of these units can fail no matter what the brand.
I have a mate who had a pulsar scope replaced twice with the same fault. Another had his go back with another fault.
I seen a new hik alpex fail the first time it was used.
My new leica pro binos were replaced twice because the first two units were faulty.
Just buy something with a good warranty and backup service incase something does go wrong.
