Hik Alpex Pro

Your probably right but
1.many hand playing etc settings could be allover place.
2. If Bruce taught me one thing over years about NV is stop....play with focus play with ocular take the time to set contrast brightness to the conditions
So many times at try demo nites we would see folk loom thru something for less than 20 seconds and proclaim " its sh1te""

Learn your kit and take 5 mins to tweak it to find sweet spot for your own eyes

I was doing that 💪

Which retailer is selling the 4K at £629 please? - assume it’s the LRF model? Thanks.
Thats 10% off the current RRP.
All of this is moot until they come onto the market proper. It’s no use slamming the Nocpix until its out there and compared properly against the benchmark Alpex 4K, likewise with the new pro.
Looking through these things in a hall with artificial lighting and limited distance only gives you a tiny insight into the scopes performance, granted the new features of the Alpex are a bonus but lets get them in a wood at last knockings or out on the Moors with the mist rolling in that will determine whether its worth upgrading.
The colour settings on the Nite will be adjusted, the latest firmware the colour saturation is reduced, the previous colour detail in prior firmware is accurate... this wil be adjusted.

I am interested but wary of the Alpex Pro. Interested in the advertised picture quality and the reduction in weight from the Alpex 4K LRF plus the redesign of the focus and zoom. However, as I already use the Alpex 4k lrf and the Habrok Pro HQ50L, I will wait some months for real time tests to be undertaken in the field for the actual pros and cons of the new unit to come to light.. I have had too many issues to jump in on a new Hikmicro product. I also want it confirmed that the sticking out lever on the zoom can be easily removed, as per the Hikmicro video.. as that bit of the design looks a weak spot to break or damage the scope when it snags.
Its also a pity also that using a IR lamp is mainly seen as a secondary add on.. it would have been nice to see more thought on lamp mounting options.

I know it's gone on forever - s&b vs swaro, tikka vs everything else etc; but the way HIK advocates are so adamant that HIK is it, everything else is shît is just a bit odd. Live fervent dogs! Weird.
All subjective isn't it mate. Everyone of the current NV devices will do the job for what 90% of recreational users need it to. You will get very few people to say actually I don't like mine after they drop big money on it

Same boat as yourself. Give it 6 months and wait for the feedback and first firmware updates. The 4k Lrf is superb so it won't hurt to hold off

Yep I agree with above , keeping my 4k lrfs and waiting for the feedback in the coming months. Mine work great so no need to upgrade for the sake of it.

Absolutely 100% correct 👍

Thanks Ian - is that a distributor/manufacturer discount that can be had at a normal retailer or is it individual retailers just all offering a show special price? Asking as a mate is after one at the moment but isn’t at the show but would buy one at that price if he was & would very much like to buy one locally for the same price. TIA.

I think when a new device is presented a show 'everbody' will want to feel and try it. Peoples' eys are all different and therefore ocular focus is probably adjusted all the time and so the device appears giving a mediocre performance to the next guy.
