No distinction in action size for the tikka. Just the bolt release allows for the bolt to come back more to expell larger cartridges. So this will work on for both long action and short action. Please have a look at videos on YouTube where this is explained. The rifle in it now is a short action

KRG specifically state on their website it’s compatible with T3/T3X/CTR short action only. I believe it’s to do with the magazines rather than the action itself.

£970 would be an expensive mistake, hence the question.
 
KRG now not available as I had it cerakoted by Chris at Spartan refinishing. On a side note, he has done a beautiful job.

MDT is still available.
