Those of you with a .223 Tikka Ace Game will know by now the best performing Foxing round that suits the gun - What is it ?

surely what you need to do is try a couple of different brands and see what your rifle likes
Sometime you can try 10 different brands of differing grains before you find what performs best in any given rifle. So I am just trying to shortcut that expenditure, which makes sense. I am sure someone is generous enough to share their findings 😀

Sako 50 grain game head varmint seem to shoot very well in so many rifles.... with varying twist rate barrels too.
My mate uses them in a tikka tac a1 and has found them superb.. I use them in my remingtonnot sure on twist as it's not a standard barrel and can't be arsed to check twist rate) which used to love 40 grain vmax but shoots the sako even better!!

I would make them your first port of call and go from there.

The tikka tac a1 is 1:8 and reports are good for the 50 grain sako game head varmint..
And before anyone says they are too light for that twist, the chap who uses them un his tac a1 is very experienced, works in a gunshop, knows his stuff.. and even he was surprised... but he also found them very accurate in his old 1:7 twist remington...

I use a 1:10 20” Sauer. 62 grain Nosler Varmageddon hollow points are incredibly accurate and very destructive on fox.
