Full working order, never had any problems with it, apart from the front parallex grub screw coming undone, so it was taped.

£1600 ono.

Singing stalker is correct, ive had 3 of these, and they are fantastic , but they do vary on tube are there any spots on the tube when its turned on ?
so you really need what tube plus age if possible, is the bayonet fitting still tight, maybe a few close up pics would help your sale.

There are people who like them, but they varied in price from £2k to nearly £6 depending on tube.
You are advertising a piece of string without telling anyone the length.
you seem to know what your talking about so, whats the daytime scope on these like? Are they good in low light and is the scope its self made by starlight or just the night vision part?

I think the scope was made in Japan, can’t remember the name now, Hakka?, someone else will know, the NV was made by starlight. The daytime scope was ok, but low light performance wasn’t comparable with other high end scopes of the day.

What it excelled at, was being able to go from day to night with no loss of eye relief, and it was great on the foxes and the bunnies and the battery lasted weeks, not hours.

The scopes were made by Hakko.I believe Julian had them made special order with the brass bayonet fitting attached at the factory. At the time Hakko made scopes for nightforce, tasco, Iightstream and others. They are first focal plane which is excellent for range finding at night.
In terms of glass quality I personally would compare them with any American glass.
As others have said it is the tube fitted to it that matters and also sets the price.with the right tube you will need very little or no additional illumination. I have three day scopes and two night vision units. I have yet to see any digital or thermal that would make me change.

Gotta say for back in the day these were absolutely top end items I’ve still got mine on QD arms mounts goes straight onto my straight pull AR never needed to check zero it just works great I’ve also got one of the spotter units too again still a great bit of kit

I used both a Longbow and an Archer for years. I've still got the Archer, and I've always regretted getting rid of the longbow. It was a very good day/night scope.

What tubes do you have in them if don't mind me asking?

I wouldn't be selling if I wasn't packing up.

I dont rate digital myself,

Also had a archer and custom my .223 for that with a mdt extending chassis which was great on the foxes.

I had the longbow on the 243 then I could use it for fox and deer and was pretty light.

Hi Bob. The one is a gen3 I got from America when such things were possible. The other is a white photonis XR5. I prefer the white one.
White phosphor is beautiful to look through. I'm not surprised it's your favourite.
I have a gen 3 tube in a set of PVS-7D nods. It's lovely but i'd like to upgrade it someday to a WP tube
