Hi there, does anyone on here have any experience with wild turkey hunting, such as Osceola in Florida? Any outfitters one could recommend? Thanks in advance!

They do have them introduced in the Czech Republic. Here are a few companies.

I did try my hand at it when I worked 1994 in the USA in Kansas City, Missouri, every morning for two weeks I was out at 4am out in the public land woods before going on later to the Ford office.
I also tried again later in South Carolina when visiting a pal there but I still had no luck.
Then in 2014 Tesla sent me to Detroit and I was driving through a village in mid Michigan going to do some bow hunting on a pals land and they were all over the place, just pecking around but it was out of season.

I still have all the box calls and mouth calls as reminders.
The way they live and strut for breeding time is the same as capercaillie do.

That almost exactly mirrors my own experience!

When I lived in Dallas in the early 90's we used to hunt on a private ranch near Jacksboro. We spent a few weekends trying for turkey, but never even heard one.

Then when working in Pennsylvania and Connecticut in the early 2000's we had an office barbecue in the CEO's back yard, and ended up almost having to fight the turkeys off with a stick as the critters were everywhere!

I also have a carton somewhere containing both a box call and a couple of mouth calls - normally only see the light of day once a year at Christmas ;)
