I've been struggling with that 4 shot normal mags which I use with my 1517. And envious of a mate with a 10 shot tikka.

So I've designed an extension so take it from 4 to 10. The design is still rough and I need to sort out my 3d printer. But I've loaded 3 lots of 10 rounds with no issues. Proof will be out rabbiting.

Would anyone be interested in purchasing one? The main cost currently is the spring which I pinch from a cz 17hmr mag (£30). If anyone knows where I can get spare springs. Please let me know!

Have a look on here for similar posts about extra mag capacity . I seem to remember reading that u can get an extra round in some of the oe anschultz mags, but the guy who posted about how to do that conversion said there were 3 different designs of factory mags made. Might be worth checking before making up extension in case they aren’t universally compatible?

I have 2 different types currently. One works better than the other, just as a standard 4 shot mag.

Yes you can make them 5 shots pretty easily, why Anschutz didn't do it from factory, who knows.

I'll make sure either the extender is universal, or there are two versions. Unfortunately I don't know what the 3rd type is like
 
Been out testing over the last couple of weeks.

All was well until some nump nut smacked it with their elbow when putting the rifle on their shoulder.

I have changed the design accordingly, but I am currently waiting for a new 3D printer to arrive and unfortunately it'll be the new year by the time it turns up.

Once we're back up and running I will reach out to anyone interested in purchasing one

Morning all, we're getting very close to having a finalised design. Fits 10 rounds, cycles well (if mag is loaded we'll, ie no overlapping rounds).

I have a made a few final tweaks and will get out for a final night of testing, then we'll be ready to ship.

The mag design of the 1517 and 1717 seem to be almost identical, the design should fit both, as I have one of both. If you have another anschutz 17hmr, drop me a message and I can see if the design can be adjusted
