Great tool,
The rifle is my fathers,well has two of them the same , one set up for thermal, grant taylor barreled them, im telling myself they are actually 22",

That’s great velocity with such a short barrel for that cartridge
Is 24” a short barrel for the .22 creed? Would it not be optimal? Or is 26” or longer optimal?

I would assume being such an overbore cartridge, a 30 inch barrel would be needed to get maximum performance but obviously that’s not practical for hunting purposes in and out of vehicles or even carrying it around.
I never knew that now? I would of guessed 24” woukd of been ok and 26 ish optimal

Be fine with 24". I certainly wouldn't want to be carrying anything much longer
My 22.250 has a 26” on it to be fair so 2” either way won’t phase me,it’s not going to be a stalking rifle it’s a pure sitting out/bonnet machine
