572/25 in Sambar Stag with Stainless Bolsters

This one had a little mention before on here in my On The Bench Today thread: My On The Bench Today Thread

I named it 572/25 at that time, as it very much resembled an updated version of our old 572 model.

Yesterday saw it finished.

3" blade of SF100, 1/8" stock with a tapering tang.

Stainless bolsters and a stunning section of Sambar cut for the scales.

Very, very nice.

So good to see a 'properly' profiled hunting knife handle with bolster, as distinct from those given of a questionable domestic kitcken use aesthetic!

Don’t need another knife, but that same one with a marching pommel to the guard would be spot on, and, a sheath with a closure strap so no risk of losing
