So today I was scheduled for a routine (for me 40+ times in 20 yrs) ) throat op to clear scarring from radiotherapy to ease breathing problems.

Bad news they couldn’t do anything as discovered a growth in my throat, now waiting on biopsy and scan appointment. Not looking good so I’m going to say it… sorry mods… Fcuking…Sh1t.. Bu*ger… B*m.

Long story short I’m going to sell my shotties first then my rifles… in classified very soon there will be 2 x8 shot sect 1 shotguns….. one a Mossberg pump with C-lect choke the other a Hatson camo semi auto…will be very cheap but need to be collected and soon.. must have FAC slot.

@willowbank Don't be too hasty there! I'm in remission from 2 separate and unrelated bouts of cancer that cost me half of a gut and then a kidney. My oncologist's and surgeons were outstanding and I'm truly thankfully for the way things have gone since the first had metastasised. Think positive and get results, then act :thumb:

I'm truly grateful every day and now intend to go to my grave with few regrets.

Sorry to hear that, but don't give up.
I know (from personal experience) that it's a struggle to keep going when health threatens to put a stop to the things that we enjoy, but I think the struggle is worthwhile. Keep doing the things you love, regardless of what the future may hold.

(I say this having just finished butchering a large fallow while enduring a level of pain that would have had many people dialling 999).

So sorry to hear of your troubles brethren, stay positive and fight it like hell.
My lass has had three bouts of cancer since 22. She had a major op for starters, it came back. 5 Weeks of radiotherapy 5 days a week.
Back it came, big dose of chemo and again it came back. Now on 2 years of immunotherapy, 3 weekly intervals. What a fighter this girl is still doing Tai chi chuan and five mile walks. She has a great faith and is determined to beat it. Which she is sure she will achieve.

Sorry to hear that. Hoping that this is a surmountable hurdle. I am certainly encouraged by this post:

Great words here and please don't give up until you really have to.

Like yourself and many others on here I have been through a lot in the last 3yrs with having a brain tumour removed and shooting was one of the things that kept me going along with the family of course because I relied on them to take me.
I have had to retire from work early I was stopped from driving for 18month but shooting was my happy place and it kept me going, luckily the police let me continue to shoot with regular checks on my health which they continue to monitor following regular MRI brain scans.
Of course you will know when you have to quit but looking at a few of the comments on here life can be a struggle but never give up and don't let it beat you also good luck with you're biopsy.
