Best moderator / suppressor for AI AXMC

I've searched the forums and read a few posts but i'm looking at what people recommend in the way of moderators for the AI AXMC in 300 win mag?
It seems choice is more limited due to the thread pitch.
Would over the muzzle break be best option, or straight threaded to the barrel without the break?
Its likely to be used on a 308 as well as the win mag barrel and for target shooting only

What do people use and what's your thoughts on performance and durability

Thanks

Do they do 18x 1.5 thread ? Can’t seem to see it
Yes, a friend recently got an SL5i in 18x1.5 for his AI via a dealer. It was special order. That same dealer can also manufacture the thread bosses to suit any thread, he's done a couple for me, including a 1"x24.

B&T AG moderator mounts over the B&T muzzle brake. That’s what is used as standard fitment on a .300PRC AI AXSR. On my other AI rifles (.308 and 6.5) I use the AI tactical muzzle brake, over which screws the AI mod. It’s an excellent system. As Cyres above says - contact Sporting Services, they’ll have or can get exactly what you need.

Thanks for all the advice
The situation I have is that the rifle comes with a muzzle break on the rifle barrel but the separate barrel I’m buying comes without the muzzle break. So is it best to buy another break and have the moderator that fits over or buy a mod that fits both barrels directly without the break.
Is there any advantage or benefits for either way of fitting
I haven’t bought the rifle as yet just scoping out the best options so all your thoughts are very helpful
Cheers

Hi Chris
Yes thats what i'm thinking, but also if i get the Mod to fit straight to barrel then i may not need an additional break ..thats why i'm thinking if there is any advantage to the over muzzle mod to the mod that screws straight to the barrel?

Just saves you taking the muzzle brake off and then having to faff with the timing when refitted. Depends on whether you intend to keep on using the brake on the 300WM.

I must say the the B&T mod to brake fitting is very tidy.

Depends on how old your AXMC is, the more recent AI rifles use the B&T brake. If unsure its best send a photo of what you have to Ian at Sporting Services, he'll know exactly what you have.

This is the B&T.

If you have this brake (double chamber tactical) which is most likely on the AXMC.

You will need the AI suppressor (short, for tactical brake) below:

1775300485278.webp

If you get another tac brake for the new barrel, you can use the same suppressor across all calibres up to .338LM.

Best, Greg

So on further checking it seems the rifle has the std brake fitted not the tactical brake
So probably looking at a mod that screws directly to the barrel
What would people recommend for this scenario
