Howa 1500, in 6.5x55 Swede, collection from Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
I'm wanting an upgrade and this was 2nd (or even third hand) to me and I don't think trade in will be much if anything given the 2nd hand market, so made more sense to me to offer it to someone who can make use of it.
Shoots 1" at 100yds with 156gr ammo or about 1.5" with 120gr. Crown in great condition, rifling seems good, bolt is smooth, feeds well and rifle fully functioning and would suit someone starting out. Has an after market trigger which gives a light pull but does have quite a bit of creep if the safety has been engaged (engaging the safety seems to push the blade forward). Could maybe be ironed out with some tinkering but I never bothered.
stock is a polymer and shows plenty of signs of use.
Has the legacy magazine conversation fitted and has a 5 and 10 round mag. Mags engage well with a bit of force but don't have a positive 'click' when going in, requires a bit of shove and then a tug to make sure its properly engaged.
