Hi all,

Up for grabs is my Sako 75 chambered in .243 spotter barrel.

Barrel has been professional shortened to 18” and cut 1/2 UNF.

Comes fitted to a McMillion stock and also comes with Sako laminated varmint profile stock.

Contessa rail and Spartan bipod mount also included.

Really unsure on round count as I bought it used around 4 years ago although the barrel is clean and rifle performs well, it’s taken its fair share of fox and deer and loves the heavier bullets (I use 100gn soft points and 87gn vmax).

£1100 all in.

I can add in a wildcat Evo along with all the reloading gear (RCBS dies and brass) if needed and price negotiated.

Thanks

Hi, it was shortened by Vince who is a well known gunsmith in South Wales. I can send you pictures of the finish and threads which are immaculate. The original proof stamp was part of the barrel that was cut off although I do still have the cut off. I didn’t send the rifle off for a reproof after it was shortened.

I’d break that into individual bits, might get the same or more faster. Not a massive market for those wanting a .243 these day sadly, but would make a cracker for a re barrel !

GL with sale, super stock that Mac!

Thank you, I couldn’t really work out prices individually especially the bare barrelled action.

I have exactly the same rifle shortened to 20” by Mike Norris. After that was done, I fell back in love with the rifle and it’s my summer go to for roe/muntjac using a deer legal Barnes TTSX 80gr bullets. The 75 is a quality rifle and it exudes absolute confidence in use - the feed, magazine top-loading, the 3-position safety and with a superb trigger as standard, and with a shortened barrel, it’s a precise rapid-handling rifle that’s incredibly well balanced.

Bump on me for a great rifle.
