Does anyone know how to remove a stuck case
Was resizing knocking primer out & pulled out of shell holder
It’s in 17 hornet

The grandson going to the good old USA the hornady dies are under £32 will get him to fetch set home as back up
Any idea how much case extracter kit are 🤷‍♂️

I had a .22 Hornet case separate. I ended up being an animal, got the callipers out, found a suitable size twist drill and carefully drilled out the case in bits.
Never damaged the die at all.
From memory, I think I ran the drill so slow it snagged in the brass and that ended up removing the last bit.

Homemade is great, but if you are going to be reloading regularly over many years, I think the Hornady tool is worth having.

I bought mine 25 years ago. I've used it 5 times, and lent it to friends 6 times. Like any tool that's right for the job, it solves the problem with minimal time and stress.

OTOH, you may feel a bit of ad hoc garage engineering is all part of the fun, in which case, all power to your elbow!

Its dead easy once you have done it a couple of times!
D
Exactly this, It has happened to me in the past and a bit of prising twisting and pulling has always managed to get them out, I have never had to drill and tap yet but looks like a good idea if all else fails

I find a 32-15 mm pipe reducer and 50mm washer ideal when using my stuck case remover.
I've not used it much at all.since using Imperial sizing wax, once when risking FL sizing 1 30.06 case, I didn't lube.

This is my stuck case removing kit, minus 1 tap.
I was getting far too many with a case lube in a bottle so changed to wax.
