A scarce single shot .22 bolt action shotgun by BSA, serial number KB39684. 25 1/4" sighted black painted (some loss of paint) smoothbore barrel with a good bore. This shotgun was originally a BSA 'Sportsman 5' rifle manufactured in 1951. The magazine housing has been removed and neatly replaced with a hardwood plug and the action has been modified to facilitate single round loading. Fun to shoot and useful for close quarter rats etc in confined spaces.
