Looking for the above or similar scope. Must not be larger than 44 objective.

If not the above then ideally from one of the top glass manufacturers. It is to go on a Shultz and Larsen Victory grade 4, so must fit in.

Alas, mine is not for sale, but the Z6 1.7-10x42 is an absolutely beautiful do it all (almost!) scope - hang on for one.
I traded up from a S&B 6x42 and really noticed the difference, especially for load development.

This is very helpful, thank you.

I’ve got to say that I love my Z6I 1.7-10x42 BT, the reticle is very fine and when dialled down to 1.7 with no tunnelling. The mag range makes it a very versatile scope in a light and compact package.

I’ve also recently purchased a S&B Klassic 1.5-6x42 which is a nice scope, it’s not as ‘good’ as the Swaro but it is realistically £800 cheaper on the used market. The scope tunnels slightly at 1.5 mag and the reticle is quite thick, great for low light as mine doesn’t have illumination, however not ideally suited for paper punching.

If a fine reticle is important over mag range consider the S&B Zenith 1.5-6x42 with the Flash dot reticle, there was one for sale on here recently for £700.

Yes, that is the one I was looking at. The chap selling it is an absolute gentleman. He was kind enough to hold it for me whilst I made my mind up.

I will probably hold out for what I really want, potentially putting a 6x42 on for the mean time.

I had the 1.5-6x42 zenith for a while, if it hadn’t been fitted with a BDC windage turret that was too easily knocked when the rifle was slung I’d have kept it, but yes, the jump from x6 to x10 is quite noticeable, especially if your quarry at the smaller end of the scale.

Saying that I shot a fox at 200m at night with it and a red nightmaster 800 torch once!

Had the 1.7-10x42 swaro. Awesome scope. Pointless and useless if you use a moderator too, as at least for me, the DPT covered/obscured half the lower lens on anything below 3.5x, and anything over 7x became a bit low quality on clarity, FOV and eye relief changed, etc.

If you don’t use a mod, and do woodland stalking with needing the odd longer shot - awesome scope

I’m now using just 4x and 6x fixed
