I'm curious about a ballpark figure for a new Accuracy International AT-XC Standard model. Anybody know?

The standard ATX is superb

The bolt lift is light enough and (having run numerous barrels in various cartridges) in my own it is very much a do all precision rifle that will double as competition capable and deer or fox duty ready at any time

The trigger is sublime

I’ve seen and used the Competition model - honestly can’t see why you would want to spend the extra when a well run in standard model suffices perfectly

I have a mate who had an AW which had at least six barrels (308 barrels ) run through his action (same action as ATX with exception of quick release) and that ran as slick as a greasy weasel without any maintainence - no change of abutment ring either during that amount of cycling

If you’ve the budget

Buy one

No question, the best sport / semi tactical rifle system there is

Use it

Bolt lift gets lighter as the fire control wears in

Mines had several thousand cycles and it’s slick

Not comp level but not heavy for sure

Comparing to Sako isn’t a fair comparison- the internals of the bolt and ramp angle is different as is built quality

Now I know nothing about this branch of shooting. £5000 seems very reasonable for the quality and accuracy you get. How much do people willingly spend on a night vision set up that will be out-of date in a couple of years?

I have the standard at-x with a few additional add-ons. I find the rifle absolutely amazing. The only thing I wish was different was the bolt lift. It’s not stupidly heavy, but it’s not as light as my sako 85

Hi Sniper 308, I am considering getting the AI AT-XC but I do not understand why they have a different thread on the barrel with a comp on, and the one without. Do you know why ? I see you have a suppressor fitted, I will get one also at some point. Which suppressor do you have, it looks great, not too long ? All advice will be appreceated.

Barrel thread (for tenon ) is 1.5” x M27x2.0mm pitch

Exactly same as the ATX / Aw / ATXC

I’ve done many barrels for these weapons including the Atxc

I understand that there are limited SKU for barrel thread (mod/ brake) thread - standard is 5/8UNEF

How much would a 6CR barrel be for an ATXC? 26 inch with the same profile as a factory AI barrel.

Speak to Graham at Sporting Services - he has a large inventory of barrels in hand that will fit the AT action
