To the ICE.
Just taken delivery of the EV, pleasantly surprised to find it is not as lethargic as some reports make out🫣
7p kwh to fill up overnight, plus the house gets the same rate if we have a poor winter charging day on the pv system😁

Have any of the doubters seen the charging point maps?
Not that I am planning any North of the Wall trips in the near future, & will
I wince at the £1:35p cost of “Filling” it up tonight😆?

It arrived from the Midlands with 65% charge on delivery, and I’m pretty sure it was standing for around a month at the dealers before the delivery guy jumped in it this morning, if we run it to 20% before re charging it will be a significant plunge in costs in relation to diesel re fill costs.
7p Kwh charge off peak (Twighlight hours).
Tyres/MOT’s/Recovery/etc all in.

F**K all I’m in charge of is monitoring brake fluid level & re fill screen wash!🤪🤪🤪

That scenario is not ours,😁
We no longer travel the world!😁
But it is not beyond the wit of a normal person to plan a longer journey using the massive electroverse charging map, there was no bigger Luddite than me, but I would have no fear to travel further onwards now, & I remember Q’ing for carbon based fuel in past years.😉 See Zapmap for charge points.👍

what are the costs like when depreciation over 3 years or more is factored in ? are they still better than a ICE ?
was the charging point expensive to install ?

I worked out that at 7p/kwh and an average of 3.9miles a kWh it’s cost wise equivalent to 340 ish mpg 🤔😂😂
I love my EV and even here in Wales never panicked about finding a charger or charge point.
