Hi,

My variation is imminent so I wondered if there’s any Marlin SBL .30-30 win lever action rifles about please ?

Or if anyone has seen one for sale , there’s none on Guntrader or Gunstar

It needs to be grey laminate and the barrel needs to be screw cut as I intend to use a moderator

I live in North Yorkshire

I’ve already got a Marlin Trapper 45/70 which is an absolute joy to own

Thanks in advance,

Vince

Blue Fieldsports have them listed on the website, but whether they're actually in stock to buy is anyone's guess. Demand for the new Marlins is apparently huge, I know I had to wait a long time for my 1894.

I love the look of lever actions and would love to own one at some point. What reason can you be granted one? target or will grant them for shorter range fox?

In copper?
I've seen copper lever evolution rounds online, but not currently in this country That I can find.
They've got 4570 stocked here. May be able to get a shop to order them in but God knows what they'd cost.
They do sell the copper heads here though so if you reload it's not too big a drama. I don't currently but it'll be something I'll have to get into or find someone to do it for me

It’s whether the factory 30-30 meets the 1700 ft-lb in real life, rather than the 2046 ft-lb on the box.

Reloading wise it depends whether your rifle likes them or not, some on here have had good success, others haven’t, either way I’d choose the 140 gr bullets. I’ve got 50 hours of those to to load but have sorted a load for 126 gr yew tree that shoots well and is north of 2000 ft-lb from my 336, it just makes the rifle a 2 shot.

The 250 gr version does shoot well in my 45-70 and expand well.

I’ve got lever evolution factory rounds for my 45/70 £66 for 20

Yes ! £3.30 per round

But 1 shot should equal 1 deer 🦌 🤞😁
Is that the lead FTX or the copper monoflex?

Pricing wise it’s in line with other copper for factory. Monoflex can be loaded for around £1.80 a round assuming you’re using your own saved brass so a decent saving on factory, depends how many you shoot or whether you reload already as to whether it’s worth it!

FTX

I reload for target shooting and use home cast lead where possible
