Just a thought about a dedicated conservation thread on here.
Lot of work landowners do goes unnoticed and at their cost.
So maybe put pictures of anything you have done over the years to help wildlife or deer etc in general.
Might only be something as simple as leaving a big field margin or planting wildflowers.
Here’s a pond I did about 4 years ago now getting well established and full of wildlife and waterfowl.

Should be a lot more of these appearing on or adjacent farmland as the need for Summer irrigation ramps up. That said are there Planning considerations to be complied with?

I'm indful mini reservoirs are fed by rainwater so what goes into one may negatively impact adjacnt ground water levels.

Not really Klenchi as these act as reservoirs themselves - and catch and slowly release water that would normally just run off

Shouldn’t affect groundwater levels as they merely act as reservoirs releasing water quietly.
No planning needed if under certain size
(Large lakes come under the reservoir act)
We’ve restored many over the years too and drained filled in a lot as well !
