Bushwear NO Tick Wash in Repellent

I use it on any clothing that isn't Rovince. Basically my jacket, fleece top, beanie hat and fingerless mitts. I haven't had any ticks on me in several years of stalking. So far, so good. My trousers, shirt and socks are Rovince. I don't take any chances.

Used it for the first time last year and did mine, my brothers and dads gear. I dosed all my early and spring stalking gear in it as that’s when I’d get most of my ticks and left my heavier winter gear alone.

Only ticks I got this year were when I actually wasn’t stalking and was just running into small areas to collect trail cameras to swap out batteries. Taking that as a sign as it works.

Dad and brother got none.

I didn’t wash it in through a washing machine, just dosed up a big tub and soaked my clothes in and then washed out.

Yep - works. Also spray up to waist with permethrin, even over my rovince stuff. Tuck socks in etc. I got bulls eyed last year when I had to belly crawl to cull some stags and wasn’t wearing all my normal gear, 4 weeks of antibiotics was deeply unpleasant! Not looking to repeat

I have used it and it seems to work well. Only used it overseas so far with Deet spray on exposed skin. We didn't get bothered by ticks and tetse flies when others using skin so soft did.

I do wonder how good it is for you though.

I believe SSS hasn't worked for some years as the active ingredient in it was discontinued

My advice: buy some and use it. I washed my kit in it for the first time just under a year ago.

Bushwear claim it remains effective for 20 washes. I’m out once or twice weekly in woodland, bracken and field margins and wash my clothing regularly. Two weeks ago I came home and over the following day removed 14 ticks from me! My clothing had been through the wash way more than 20 times and I’d paid no attention to reproofing over the cooler months.

I washed my kit in the Bushwear no-tick wash straight away. Returning from last week’s stalk I found only one of the beggars (it was on an unmentionable part of my body and I had dropped my trousers to answer the call of nature).

The combination of the Bushwear No-tick wash on clothing and the Lifesystems EX4 spray on my boots works well for me and importantly the ticks don’t like it!
