New Pixfra Draco Multi-Spectral 4K LRF Binoculars

Love my Draco, and love the fact that I can now go back to being able to use a harness. Even if you can squeeze the Habrok into an XL KUIU, you couldn't get them in/out without knocking one of the buttons or wheels.

I would say the battery life doesn't seem as good. On the Habrok, the equipped and the spare batteries would get me through a day no bother.

I'm conscious of if with the Draco. I'm actually on the hunt for another spare set but they're flat top protected, which doesn't seem to exist on the internet

Give Norbert Polyak a call at ampsplus.co.uk he has lots of batteries and will find ones that will suit. I got replacement protected ones from him for my pixfra and I'm sure they were labelled pard ones but he checked and said they were the same spec.

That’s odd, I updated mine and it appeared ok after. I did remove batteries and reboot once installed though (just something I normally do with most thermals etc).

Interestingly mine have had to go back to Thomas Jacks over the weekend, the right ocular started to become a little bit loose and I was concerned it was getting worse (device was working absolutely fine). Spoke to them and they had seen a couple where (I may be miss quoting very slightly so apologies to them if I am) a seal/ring needed to have loctite correctly applied. Seamless process to return and they were good on the phone 👍 will wait for them to re-appear

I have had the batteries out and reboot since but still no joy. I have also tried enabling and disabling various colour palettes but pressing the button still will only switch between optical and NV. I've taken them with me to work because the next thing I'll try is a full on factory reset

By general request they have now made the switch between optical and thermal a short press of the focus wheel.
The release notes are as follows:

I. NEW FEATURES & FUNCTIONALITY
1. Upgraded wheel key. Short press to toggle between thermal and digital light modes for quick switching.
2. Added multispectral PiP modes. The sub-window defaults to 1X original magnification for natural viewing and easy operation.
3. Integrated intelligent ballistic calculation, supports saving 5 sets of ballistic data and scope parameter configuration for enhanced shooting accuracy.
4. Added HDR function to balance bright and dark details, delivering clearer vision in complex light and shadow environments.
5. Optimized LRF algorithm for faster, more stable and accurate ranging calculation.
6. Upgraded full-scene anti-burn protection, achieve all-weather safety protection.

II. IMAGE PERFORMANCE
1. Optimized EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) to reduce image shake for smoother handheld viewing.
2. Optimized Defog effect to enhance penetration in rainy, foggy, dusty and low-light environments.

III. USER INTERFACE
1. Added anti-burn safety prompt on startup to standardize operation and reduce equipment loss risks.
2. The ranging cursor is linked with the zoom center, and the laser mark starts and stops intelligently for a cleaner and simpler interface.
3. Optimized electronic zoom logic for sensitive and smooth zoom response and greatly improved operating feel.
4. Optimized laser rangefinder power threshold and low‑voltage startup rules: LRF activates at ≥2 battery bars and is disabled at 1 bar/red low battery; meanwhile, all low‑power recording limits are lifted to allow continuous video recording until device shutdown.

IV. SYSTEM STABILITY & OPTIMIZATIONS
1. Fixed existing known issues.
2. Fixed image defects on 256×192 thermal sensor: overexposure overflow on high-temperature targets and distorted edge outlines.
3. Fixed occasional frame drop and stuttering of thermal image.
4. Fixed single-frame thermal flash when exiting PIP mode.

Yeah mine didn’t work through the app and had to do it manually online and dragging the file over.

The thermal one click wheel is a great improvement, which means you can select more palettes again without it being slow and annoying.

Will be out stalking on the weekend so will get a better insight on any image improvements.

Still no joy here, no matter whether on or off my laptop doesn't find the draco as a USB drive. I'll have to wait until it is download able over the app 🤪

After you plug the Draco into your laptop you have to go into the Darco menu and turn on USB transfer.
It sound then appear in your "my computer " list and you just drag and drop the upgrade file.

Managed it now thank you... Hadn't had a chance to look for any settings but you were bob on and it's updated now. 👍
