Has anyone tried - and had any luck - developing a load with this combination with a 1-12" barrel

I wasn't aware that Sierra produced an 85 grn Prohunter. I'll have to have a look on its website.

I have used 80gr Sierra blitz soft points boat tail very accurate. There seems to be an 85 gr gameking which of a hpbt and is deer rated all be it with the correct shot placement etc. Would love to try these.

I use 85 HPBT Sierra
My custom barrel : 20" and 1-10 twist
Very, very accurate and just perfect for roedeer

Correction. My bad . Sozz.................

They are the 85 grain Varminter #1520.
Soft exposed point. Check
Flat base. Check
Made by Sierra. Check.

By the marketing blurb, these have a thinner jacket than the Pro hunter. Just wondering how they perform.
