On the showing last night have the Pom team got what it takes to win the Cup?. I saw none of it btw thus asking you lot.

Performed the best out of them all so far*

Only one game, far too early to call anything

Some teams historically don't get going till after the groups having just scraped by.

did they hold anything back as in pulling best players off the field

So, us Poms did pretty good against a Croatian team who are no pushovers and have got the better of England more than once in recent years. The England attack was pretty good, as the 4 goals (could have been more) showed. But their defence needs a bit of work. They also seemed to pussyfoot around too close to their own goal in possession far too much for my liking.

But it's true, good teams grow into a competition as it progresses and improve. There's a fair few England players that are relatively new to the team and they'll bed in. So hopefully that'll happen. But what are, realistically their chances? I do think they have a chance of winning this World Cup. But I think there's some better teams. The French for example. But the English are at a point where, ON THEIR DAY, they could beat anyone. So it's certainly possible. I don't think I'd bet my house on it though. But who knows? There's only one player left alive now from the last time England won (Geoff Hurst) so it wouldn't be before time.

ffs now I have to look it up lol
Jordan Pickford is wearing the bespoke Nike Stadium Goalkeeper Shirt in an Astronomy Blue colorway. The attire features an eye-catching, all-over split screen design with a custom lion-inspired graphic. He is sporting the #1 shirt—making history as the first England goalkeeper to wear the number one shirt at three different World Cups.
