Reds - do they get this big in the UK ?

An example of this phenomenon.
Whilst the head was large and a Gold medal I took this central picture with a wide-angle lense to make it appear to be even bigger than it really was.

The world record Red some years back was reared and fed in the UK. This was shipped live to Germany for breeding and about 2 years later sold to the Kiwis. It was firing blanks and they released it onto a huge fenced area and a client from the states shot it and had it mounted lifesize at the SCI show.

Most of the world records are fed and introduced. However we do have some big reds in the wild in the UK.

OK so this is encouraging. I'm still not sure if I would ever go "trophy-hunting" specifically, but were I to do so, who would be the person to contact (in the UK) ?

I have seen an absolute monster in thetford Forrest not far off that I ran the other way especially with no rifle in the hand lol....
