scoop

Just a quick question , has anyone shot a muntjac in south west scotland ?
I have heard a few stories now of sightings , one of which was only a mile from my shoot
Could it just be mistaken identity or have they arrived

There has been a reported sighting at sanquhar and i spoke to someone who swears he saw one near largs

I agree we need these like we need a hole in the head .But yes they have been seen and in ok numbers just down from Gretna.

Just down, as in South of Gretna, or just down the a75? I've ground not a million miles from there, so I'll have to keep an eye out!

There were Munty's in The New Abbey area a few years ago and plenty of Wild Boar, we can only guess where they came from.
