Quick bit of advice please.
I have a 2 year old lab that I'm hoping is about 3 or 4 weeks pregnant. She's gone off her dry food completely (Alpha Junior & Active Field Nuggets).
Is this normal during pregnancy and what wet food would you advise mixing with her dry kibble? Any good wet food...
Anyone using one for foxing? If so, how you getting on with it? I'm thinking of buying one in a month or two as a permanent rig for the 204.
I have a T67 with IR pill which I'd consider using with it to extend the spotting range.
Thanks in advance.
I have been chasing a problem fox on the farm for a while now so decided to set up a bait station with rabbits and set up a trail cam.
Seem to have a good idea on times so I'm going to nip out with the lamp and have a crack this week (wish I had a thermal!).
I bought some cheap PIR lights from...
Got drenched today and covered in mud, but it was worth it.
With some tweaking to the overall length I found a nice steady node from 42.2gr and think I hit the sweet spot at 42.8gr.
Shame I pulled the fourth shot. One thing that I'm not keen on with the Bergara is the trigger. Too heavy for my...
Popped out with our young lab (18 months) this evening, just for an hour before dark to have a look at the rabbit situation on some land that I haven't been on since before the start of covid.
I decided to dust off the 22 Hornet that has been sat in the safe for probably 6-10 months along with...
Have a Tikka T3 that I'd like to rebarrel. Tempted to go with a 1:8 twist. Possibly 25 inches.
Like the idea of launching light projectiles and 77gr TMK's. Hopefully 1:8 will cover all bases, but I understand there are no guarantees.
What kind of price will I be loooking at?
Thanks in advance.
Load developing for the 6.5 Creedmoor using 143gr ELD-X and RS62. Still only had around 70 shots through from new.
Initially using Starline brass with LRP's I had a half decent group at 42gr and then again at 44gr, which is as high as I want to go.
Decided to stick with 44gr and play with OAL...
I have a Bergara HMR 6.5 Creedmoor and I fancy using the 'sling swivel cups' (instead of the studs) for the QD swivels.
Don't want to buy cheap rubbish in case they pop out and smash the rifle! Can you recommend a robust set that I can trust?!
Having recently got into deer stalking I'm leaning towards quad sticks, especially as the grass and wheat grows taller.
Any recommendations? No time or patience to make a set, so looking for something solid. Custom wooden ones sound good if anyone knows of anyone that makes them.
Variation verbally approved today. Just waiting on the certificate to land.
Have a Bergara HMR on hold at my local gun shop. Looking forward to collecting that.
Opting for the 6.5 Creed for use on the range and for deer. Liking the look of the 143gr ELD-X. Anyone else using them?
There's an oldish one of these with a tatty stock in my local gun shop. Thinking of picking it up to fill ny 243 slot before renewal in February.
Spoke to the gunsmith, he said it shoots spot on and he sold it new to the original owner. Stock could be a bit of a refurb project but metalwork...
When I looked into reloading for the first time I was overwhelmed by the minefield of information.
Once I got my head around the basics and gathered all the necessary equipment I had every intention to do a video series demonstrating how I reload, aimed at beginners. I finally got around to...
Decided to treat myself today to a little handy knife for gutting rabbits and the like. I know you can damn near use a Stanley knife for gutting but I wanted something a bit better that I could look after and enjoy using.
I've gone through allsorts over the years from pen knives to leathermans...
Just joined the forum after a recommendation.

Not yet got into deer stalking but I'm hoping to have a go this year. I shoot 22LR and. 223 at the moment but have a slot for. 243...
