Roe bucks in Cornwall...?

Hi there,

I'm in the process of booking a week in Cornwall for the mrs and I, plus our baby daughter and.....the inlaws! There is method in my madness, babysitters on site and an excuse to sample some of the sport that Cornwall has to offer. On that note, are there Roe deer throughout Cornwall or would I be best looking for stalking, and therefore a holiday cottage, in a particular part? Likely destinations at the moment are Fowey or St Ives.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

HI mate, reasonable numbers of roe in Cornwall but most areas are heavily stalked.
Woodfordfallow offers guided stalking - decent chap - you'll find him on the SD.
If you stay in St Ives you'll be a bit far west for him, but Fowey would be closer for an early morning stalk. There's plenty of fallow around the Fowey area (Roseland peninsula) but pretty well covered so not much chance and wrong time of year.
Good luck.
regards
steve
