Blaser Picatinny Rail

Has anyone tried the Picatinny rails for Blasers being offer by Alan Rhone?

Chuck in a set of Warne rings and it should be a very robust setup for half the price of a Blaser saddle mount and rings. It would also allow me to put a night vision scope on my 222 barrel.

Any thoughts?

The Blaser straight pull is already one of the most ugly rifles out there, adding a picatinney style rail will just make it more so....:stir:

My advice is to pay a lot more and get the detachable rail. That way you don't have to worry about carrying a spare Allen key because my guess is its not the same as the takedown tbar you use for the barrel.

What night vision are you thinking about putting on there? If an addon then it will be too short, if a dedicated then you should be ok. But I also recommend the quick release mounts. Don't have to worry about the aforementioned Allen key.
