    Unusual Roebuck Head

I have just downloaded this video and still from my trailcam. It is the second roe with only 2 points on the left antler that I have seen in the area (I shot the first one last year). Could this be a genetic issue or just coincidence?

It's not that unusual, 5 pointers are common, it could be genetic.

    Hey Matt,

Where are you based? I shot a 6 pointer last year which has one antler consists of 2 points in the shape of a V and then the other antler has 4 points.

I wonder whether your Roe has snapped the upper part of his left antler as the antler looks like it suddenly goes off at an angle similar to its right antler.

My thoughts exactly. It looks as if the main beam is broken just above the front tine.
