    Kawasaki part needed any ideas?

    Hi all

I'm just about to buy a Kawasaki kvf 650 vtwin. Problem is it needs a new speedometer the whole unit as you can't tell if over heating /fuel or any problems .

Any suggestions of where to get part cheap ? Or anyone selling a tidy bike around the £2100 mark.

If you decide to get a new part, Corby Kawasaki is very good. They have the parts lists and prices online.

You've probably already tried but what about ebay? Never ceases to amaze me what you can find on there.

I got a couple of parts for my old Yamaha Big Bear from a normal motorbike shop for a fraction of the price that a specialist quad dealer wanted to charge me.

    Well here goes,

its a 2013 brute force 650 kvf, the farmers wife got it stuck by the river and left it there over night and the river burst its banks and they found bike up side down in a hedge 1 - 1/2 fields away lol.
he took it to a dealer to get fixed it needed engine cleaning out and a new ecu, so they put new ecu on it and plugged the heads up display unit back on and it blow the new ecu £500 lol. They then put a new wiring loom on it and another new ecu and it works fine now but don't want to put the heads up display back on just incase it blows the ecu again . Kawasaki dealer said the part is £680 +VAT.

There was £2000 spent on getting it fixed he's just had enough with it now and wants to get a mule.

offered the bike to me for £2200! It's done 120 hrs from new still original tyres on it .
just this problem of not having the speedometer on it as I want to put on the road.

Why not have the unit you have fixed, there are a businesses offering this service for modern motorcycles, the quad unit is no different.
