Wonder if we'll get our pistols back?

With the revelations regarding paedophilia within the political establishment, and now the police, continuing to grow week by week, the rumours and theories that surfaced following the tragic murders at Dunblane don't seem quite so fanciful any more. Wonder if the sport of pistol shooting will be resurrected if it's found it was sacrificed as part of a cover up?

And before anyone accuses me of belittling the massacre, or trying to get my sport back at the expense of raking up the past and disrespecting the families and survivors (I have noted anti handgun sentiment on here from time to time), don't you think those people deserve the truth? And, if there are still people out there who bear some responsibility for that terrible day, that they should at last be made to answer?

What's the rumour , theories & supposed cover up of ?

  3. #3
Probably the biggest cover up we have ever seen! And as for Cullen don't get me started. Who would have thought 10 years ago people like Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris and Cliff would be accused of such crimes.

The truth will come out one day, probably long after we're gone.

As for hand guns, I can't see that ever being reversed.

Just remember, we're free to do what they tell us to do.......

The constant stream of revelations are of no surprise to me - and as for the old bill being involved, well there's a surprise (sarcasm)

The whole pistol thing is bullsh@t - knee jerk reaction to populist created fear and misunderstanding - terrible events granted and I'm not also belittling what has passed, but events nonetheless used to forward control agendas.

Also, I for one, would rather take my chances against a handgun rather than a (currently legal) Bora Barak with a ten shot mag on - should the nut job scenario ever arise
For Gods sake - don't tell her how much I've spent

My ex-girlfriend had a son in that class in Dunblane and friends lost children that day. My current partner was in charge of Stirling A&E and took over the farce the authorities were making of the identities of the children involved.
I have seen injuries sustained that day and i think that series of events would have happened again if handguns were still in circulation.

You know what, I just read the list of children and teachers that were murdered that day.

Despite the Cullen cover up, the authorities missed opportunities (chestnut) and the current state civilisation is in.

You have a point Red Dot - my previous post was irreverent - I don't miss handguns that much

Anyone who works in or has worked in the media for the last thirty plus years. The only surprise is its thought of was "news".

As sorry as I am for the losses the fact is banning handguns will not prevent another trajidy , and anyone who believes that is either very naive or a fool.
Killers will kill and find a method and means of doing it, there is no prevention, that is not to say we should not make it harder. Ask yourself the question if he had driven a van filled with calor gas bottles into a school, would vans and calor gas be banned.
Handguns are now common sites at clubs, in the long barrelled version, which can be turned into a normal pistol within minutes , the police know this.
If you are a member of a section 5 club you can have a normal pistol, which is stored at the club. With the introduction of lever release rifles we are almost as fast as a semi.
So should we have pistols back ? Yes as there is no obvious reason for the ban apart from it a political nightmare for any party to say so.

We will never get the pistols back, any one thinking otherwise does not have a clue, we simply do not have the numbers to affect any outcome on this, remember the ban? remember the outcry? remember the marches?
As to favouring one party over another, well the naïveté shown there says it all, career politicians are, to a man, vote whores, end of.
The likes of Farage etc, who do not have much of a chance of grabbing any real power will promise you the moon, do you really think that they might deliver? If so I have a bridge I'd like to sell you....
Petitions without numbers are just a waste of time and a distraction from the powers that be made for you to think that you can put your finger in the pie.
Their perception is more control = less chance of tragedy, think of the children, bleat bleat bleat.
The public in general swallow this hook line and sinker - the politicians like control and will NEVER relinquish it...
So ultimately, no they will not change anything for us - they simply have no reason to and we lack any clout to change that.
A young man who isn't a socialist hasn't got a heart; an old man who is a socialist hasn't got a head.
I have summat for sale; here's the M̶i̶d̶w̶a̶y̶ Brownells UK price... effin jokers.
