Now that is a worthy addition to any man cave :tiphat:

There must be a good story behind it?

I've shot numerous red stags over the last 20 years, but none of them have been anything other than cull beasts. At some point I'll have to rectify that :D

Nice shaped stag.

Can't quite see all the points, 11 or 12?
But a royal will cost you some money Willie, but you owe it to yourself!

Cheers

Pretty, what part of the world was it shot and is it its own cape?
I only ask as its cape looks to be in summer pelage but its in hard antler, most UK red taxidermy would be from rutting animals with big shaggy manes and chunky necks, this is very slight in proportion and ordinarily wouldn't have been in hard antler in summer coat over here.....

I shot him in the last week of August. He had just rubbed out of velvet and still had his short summer coat. The coat is his original hide. I took him off of a ranch that I hunt fallow deer and wild boar on in Ohio. He has 11 points and some of the velvet was still hanging off his antlers, but the taxidermist cleaned them up.
