Thread: Day Stalking Rates

    Day Stalking Rates

Is it me or have the rates for bought days gone up quite a bit in recent times?

not that it really affects me per se but looking into it over the last few months to get some ICR's done i am struck how what used to be a 50ish per morning/evening stalk for roe is now significantly more
Hind stalking seems to have gone the same way in recent times.
Red stags have always been pricey per day + points etc etc

    but bog standard days?

    Discuss!

It is, with certain people now willing to pay thousands a year for a lease they may only vist a few times it means those who would have been able to afford a lease (or maybe even had free stalking) have to pay for odd days. The more people willing to pay anything means the price will go up.

Quite a while since a morning or evening outing was 50 , might still be an odd one doing it for that but if they are
check the extra costs kill fees etc.

I would actually agree with that, in particular red hind stalking and roe does. . . I think stags and roe bucks have remained pretty much as they were.

As mentioned above, almost certainly a case of supply and demand.

I used to charge 75 single outing, 130 for 2 outings within a 24 hour period, what's wrong with that?
    Plus trophy fee's.
No witnessing involved as i am not an AW.
I don't take clients anymore however.
    Cheers

1 a gram trophy price still cheaper than putting white powder up your nose

i always think people are entitled to charge what they like and let the market set the price.

personally i do think it is odd that it seems to cost the same to have a stalker accompany you on foot as it does to sit in a high seat.
