    vectan powder

    Hi need some advice on what vectan powder to use with a. 223 using 75grain amax.

    Nobel Sport don't seem to list data for that weight of bullet in .223rem http://www.vectan.fr/UK/ so it seems that you will need to extrapolate the information yourself using relative burn rate tables or better still why not email Nobel sport as I have found them quite helpful in the past when a similar question over 7.62x39 arose.
    It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

    Thanks i will try that. It looks like it is not a very popular powder

    Unfortunately not a very popular powder because of lack of any real interest on the part of the importers/distributors (Lyalvale Express). Its excellent powder and such a pity that they don't see what a market there would be for it if they made it more available in the shops instead of just concentrating on their shotgun cartridges which are loaded with Nobel Sport powders.
    It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.
