    Knife sharpening service wanted

Hi guys, does anybody know of someone who could provide this type of service to a high standard.

I have sharpened a fair few filleting knives and the odd spyderco over the years with good results using a Lansky knife sharpening system.

However I have a falkniven f2 which has a convex grind which I don't think the Lansky will put the correct angle of bevel on. I say this as I have previously tried to sharpen a convex grind on a different knife using the lansky system, but it put a totally different bevel on the knife.

I have tried to lightly sharpen the F2 "freehand" using an Eze-lap diamond stone but the results are not brilliant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

for convex you best of using a soft surface and Wet n dry lots use a mousemat to conform to the curve and a leather strop to maintain between resharpens

Get a Work Sharp and fling the Lansky in the bin. You'll also have alot more time on your hands to do other things.

    This ^^^

I have the Ken Onions' version of the Work Sharp and it is bloody brilliant, especially for a cack-handed idle git like me, who wrecks more blades than I sharpen when let loose with a whetstone or a manual sharpener. Whilst not cheap, the Worksharp puts a perfect polished convex edge on any knife - as an experiment I sharpened my Fallkniven PXL Workhorse knife to 22.5 degrees, working my way up to the 6000 polishing belt, and it was sharp enough to shave my face with...
