    Marlin 1895 sbl 45-70

As new Marlin 1895 sbl 45-70 comes with 40+ hornady rounds less then 30 shots fired scope not included. I brought this new two years ago , On the barrel it has THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO.NORTH HAVEN CT. USA LOOKING FOR £900
Great for UK and European Bore, Feral Goat & Deer it delivers the massive punch of a 45–70 Gov“t. with unmatched speed – with the lethal assurance of a 6–round capacity thanks to a full–length magazine tube. Rapid target acquisition comes natural with its 18½” barrel and XS Ghost Ring Sights and scout scope mount. And its big loop lever adds a distinctive traditional style while promoting sure follow-up shots, even with gloves. True to the inhospitable territory it was born to thrive in, the Model 1895SBL features the weather resistance of a grey/black laminated stock and stainless steel finish on all major metal components.Attachment 55530Attachment 55531Attachment 55532

In the pics you can see the serial number starts with "MR" and on the right side of the barrel it looks like a stamp beginning with R, not J. This is a post-Remington Marlin.

I do like my Marlin 45-70; shot enough through it today that my shoulder is gently reminding me now!

Thanks for the tip- I do have Trail Boss, though don't intend using it in the 45-70. Why buy a sledgehammer and use it to tap in drawing pins!?

I've got a .45Colt Marlin Cowboy LTD for making holes in paper: trail boss works well in those stubby old black powder cases!

Sorry to derail the OP's thread. 45-70 is a great calibre!
