Hi Chuck, sorry i didn't see this till now, but didn't understand the question, "has the IP rating changed to HD series to be in line with the XD series"

The Quantum HD series is staying the same spec, at a lower price, so no changes to the current line up.

HD and XD series are IPX4 rated which means that water can be splashed from any direction without causing issue. So in other words you can use them both in wet weather, rain, wind etc, but do not submerge them.

    Regards

    Paul

Thanks Paul. You might want to check the XD 38. I thought they were IPx7?

Hi, XD38 are most definitely the same IP rating as the HD series.

The official tech spec document we have states as follows

    Pulsar Quantum XD38S and XD50S
Level of Protection (acc. to IEC 60529) IPX4

Also their website states the same

    Quantum XD50S

    Regards

    Paul
