Just drawn lots for the start of the roe buck season...

Our roe buck season opens on Saturday, and our consortium drew lots last night to see who gets which area on the first day. It looks like it might be quite challenging as the area that I've drawn consists of a field of oilseed rape (which is getting on for four-five feet high!).

Luckily there seems to be plenty of activity around the edges of the field and there are a couple of decent sized open areas, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and my eyes open!

Knæk og bræk (as they say over here) to you all.

Best of luck , and hope you bag one or two , how does your system work , is there a minimum / maximum, or a tag system ?

Thank you. One would be nice! I'm not going to count my chickens already though!

There's no system as such. Legally you can shoot however much you want of anything that's in season at the time. Not the most sensible course of action though.....

Just back from this morning's stalk, which I'm happy to say was successful

I'll do a write up and post a photo or two later.
