    Another SNP post.

Always good to know that a policy has been well thought through.

I don't think Mr. Mugabe considered that either.

ps...funny how it takes a freedom of information request to get any info out of them.

Welcome to the People's Democratic Socialist Republic. We don't do bananas, would haggis be suitable?

H'mm, a culture shift in diet? Pap from mielie beans, instead of porridge from oats? "thats no how they make porridge" (in best Scottish accent).

Not sure how popular porridge is any more there, but its a dam sight more palatable than pap. How well does maize grow in Scotland anyway?

Not very well, quite a few farmers grow maize for cattle food harvested green, difficult to get it to ripen up here summers are to short.

Doesn't look like there is any shortcuts in providing a staple diet then. Thats probably a good thing.

I've just realised that some of our Sef Afrikan mates may have been offended with my critique of pap. My apologies. The various "pap" dishes that I have enjoyed from "corn" whilst partaking at a braai have been sensational. These cannot be compared to pap from mielie.

Surely potatoes are the Scottish equivalent? If the SNP gets its way, it'd be a 'tattie republic' in more senses than one.
