    Maple Shavings For Food Smoking

Gives a very mild flavour, normally more than average amount of smoke.

Our own gathered shavings from seasoned Maple.

About 7lt or just under 3kg. Air dry. Packed and boxed. No floor sweepings, clean shavings .

How has it been made into shavings as in what method? Milled/chainsaw etc etc?

I believe chain oil can taint it slightly, although my local smokehouse use a chainsaw, running a dry chain for short periods,so it doesn't overheat the bar/chain

Hence my question about how it was produced..........chain oil will make you quite ill....

Produced off of a 8" x 3" plank. Passed through an Elu planner, no oil, and hopefully no large chips.
