Thread: Leaving Scotland?

    Leaving Scotland?

Its a subject that I find, sadly, is frequently discussed amongst friends and family these days, given recent events in the country.

10 years ago - unheard of.

I never make the same mistake twice.

I make it five or six times.

    Just to be sure.

Oh I don't know, my friends and family have been talking about it for at least the last 30 years. As far as I'm aware, I'm the only one of them that has actually done it though.

Wouldn't leave for all the money in the world,,

Well right enough I did leave for 4 years. And missed the place terribly.

However its been a very divisive time. And seems the further left you lean, the more you like to ram your views down folks throats.

Never had so many folk express disquiet about living in their own country.

I thought it was bad when I left in 1973.

Been back to see family and shooting friends, but I could never live there,

Shame I know but. Have all I need here and some,

With respect to all my fellow countrymen and women,

    Bob,

I'll be totally presumptuous, is that because you are in Aberdeenshire & the oil industry is in a bit of a slump?

The reason that I say this, is that I'm not hearing the same murmurs. Most people I know are pretty up beat, more so than 20yrs ago????????????
